"Living With Mystery is a deeply personal look at how limitations, love, brokenness, suffering, hope, and the many question marks in life can lead to growth, and an appreciation for who God is and why we are here. Padrick's vulnerability is inviting, encouraging women to be real with themselves, others, and God."

"Author Stacey Padrick tackles tough questions in her first book, Living with Mystery: Finding God in the Midst of Unanswered Questions. 'Things like the terrorist attacks of September 11 shake us and make us realize we're not the master of our fate. A lot of times we want quick solutions and wonder where God is,' said Padrick. 'This book says that God is present even when he seems furthest away. These very questions, this darkness and uncertainty-these are the places where we meet God intimately.' (from an interview with Publisher's Weekly)"

"In this well-written devotional book author Stacey Padrick shares out of her own journey, weaving in many helpful scriptures. Most outstanding to me was the chapter on "The Mystery of Hope." It helped me get in touch with many of my doubts and feelings and to embrace hope as truly a mystery. In fact, Padrick demonstrates that all of life is a mystery.
Each chapter ends with a question for journaling and/or small group discussion, scripture verses to ponder, thoughts to contemplate (from a wide range of authors), a hymn, and a prayer. I particularly liked the sources of Padrick's quotes and found them stimulating.
Additional resources are listed at the end of the book, along with a large bibliography and end-notes from each chapter. This is a useful resource for personal devotions and for small groups."

"An extremely well-written book about love, brokenness, suffering, and hope: the mysteries of life. Drawing on personal experience, scripture, and church history, each chapter concludes with questions for journal and/or small group and thoughts for contemplation. Impressive."
